The GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ is due to arrive in the US next year equipped with a host of track-friendly upgrades.

The Mercedes-AMG GT lineup is Goodwood Festival of Speed The new GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ has been unveiled, a performance-focused model that promises an “even sportier driving experience.”
The GT 63 Pro 4Matic+, due to arrive in the U.S. next year, features an aggressive front fascia with larger air intakes and an additional carbon fiber deflector. Other highlights include the Active Air Panel air control system, which helps reduce aerodynamic lift on the front axle by more than 66 pounds (29.9 kg).

The upgrades don’t end there, however. The coupe also gets a fixed rear wing and additional underbody air deflectors. 1 hypercarThe sporty ambience is further enhanced by a standard carbon fiber package consisting of a front splitter, rear diffuser and side skirts.
The car rides on 21-inch forged aluminum wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 5 or Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires. No matter which tire you choose, it’s backed up by a high-performance braking system with the “largest standard ceramic brake discs” currently on the market. Mercedes didn’t say much about the interior, but the GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ comes equipped with AMG performance seats and a leather and microfiber sports steering wheel. Along with these, there’s also a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an 11.9-inch infotainment system, and optional rear seats.
Power is provided by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 603 horsepower (450 kW / 611 PS) and 627 pound-feet (849 Nm) of torque, which is an increase of 26 horsepower (19 kW / 26 PS) and 37 pound-feet (50 Nm) over the GT 63.
The engine is connected to a nine-speed transmission and sends power to a fully variable all-wheel-drive system, which enables the coupe to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 96 km/h) in about 3.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 197 mph (317 km/h).
The focus on performance doesn’t end with the powertrain, with two additional radiators added for improved cooling efficiency and truck performance. Other features include an active cooling system for the transfer case and top-mounted radiators for the front and rear differentials. Designers also tweaked the underbody air vanes and brake cover plates to “optimize airflow to the brakes to improve durability and prevent excessive brake temperature build-up.” Rounding out the highlights are Active Ride Control and Active Rear Axle Steering.
