76 LTC facilities reporting COVID-19 outbreaks

The Iowa Public Health Service released new COVID-19 data on Monday. IDPH has reported 34,687 positive tests in the last 7 days, a slight increase from the 34,598 positive tests reported on Friday. The state’s 14-day test positive rate increased slightly from 25.2%. The number of patients admitted with 25.3% COVID-19 decreased from 957 on Friday to 935. 62.4% of patients hospitalized with the virus are not completely vaccinated against COVID-19, while 64.3% of patients receiving intensive care with the virus do not report outbreaks of COVID-19 The number of long-term care facilities in Iowa continues to grow. Currently, there are 76 facilities reporting outbreaks, and IDPH publishes new COVID-19 data every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday on this website.
