Children’s National Hospital Washington, DC, It announced that it would no longer provide gender transition-related medical interventions.

The hospital’s Gender Development Program web page displays messages for existing and new patients announcing the changes. This will take effect on August 30th.

“In light of increasing legal and regulatory risks to our children’s citizens, our healthcare providers, and the families we serve, we are suspending prescriptions for gender-affirming medications,” the message states. “Mental health and other support services for LGBT patients are still available. We are always welcome at Children’s National for other medical needs.”

“We know that this change will have a significant impact on the affected patients, families and staff. Our care team works directly with the families of current patients to support them,” he adds, urging people to ask questions and contact them directly.

The announcement will be made on July 9th after the Department of Justice Over 20 subpoenas have been sent to doctors and clinics involved in carrying out transgender medical procedures for children.

“Gender-affirming” treatments do not benefit young people, a group of pediatricians say: “irreversible consequences”

The Trump administration said the DOJ investigation includes health care fraud and false statements.

“The medical professionals and organizations that hurt children in the service of distorted ideological conditions will be held accountable by this Department of Justice,” Attorney General Pamela Bondy said in a statement at the time.

It was not immediately clear whether the child citizen had received the subpoena.

Fox News Digital’s comment has been reached. A spokesman for the Children’s National Hospital did not address the DOJ probe and provided a statement similar to the probes already posted on the website, citing “escalating legal and regulatory risks.”

“LGBT patients are always welcomed by their children’s nationals for other medical needs and treatment,” the spokesman said.

President Donald Trump in late January I signed an executive order The title “Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Amputations” directed federal agencies to cut Medicare, Medicaid and other federal funding from providers that provide so-called “gender afaring care” to patients under the age of 19.

Pediatric National Hospital was one of several hospitals that suspended prescriptions, refills and medications to minors as a result of Trump’s orders, but later resumed such transgender services after court intervened. Washington Post.

Since the announcement on Friday that hospitals will stop providing gender mobility services to children on August 30, the Post has received messages sent to affected families that the child’s varsity team will “support you to help you as you move forward,” but will no longer evaluate patients with medication therapy. Or monitor medications through labs like Bloodwork.

According to Trump’s executive order, “Across the nation today, medical professionals are hurting and sterilizing more and more impressive children under the fundamental and false assertion that adults can change the sex of children through a series of irreversible medical interventions. This dangerous trend becomes a stain on the history of our country.

The order states that countless children claim they are regretting them soon. It’s been cut off And they begin to grasp the horrific tragedy that they can never conceive their own children or raise their children through breastfeeding, and add, “The healthcare costs of these vulnerable youths will survive as they are often locked up for lifetimes of medical complications, war with their own bodies.

Trans children who took adolescent blockers had mental health issues, according to a UK study

The United States will not “fund, sponsor, promote, support or support the so-called “transition” of children and will strictly enforce all laws that prohibit or limit these destructive and life-changing procedures.”

Ben Takai, the board president of Metro DC PFLAG, who is involved in a lawsuit challenging Trump’s orders, added that changing children’s citizens is sad and “there are many ways to bully ethnic minorities.”

Children’s citizens claim on the gender development program’s web page that “some young people feel, sensibly, or know that they are of a different gender than what they are expected at birth.”

“They can live and dress in a way typical of another gender (gender inconsistency), and some people experience the need to live in and may be declared as this gender in some or all circumstances,” the hospital says. “This could be an urgent need. For others, there may be experimentation and exploration. There may also be young people who exhibit gender incongruence in their daily behavior, but they may not yet have the self-advocacy skills to discuss gender identity and gender-related needs.”

The hospital’s website says parents need consent to provide “gender-affirming medical care” to minors in the District of Columbia. The hospital also says it does not offer “gender-affirming surgery” to people under the age of 18 and does not offer hormone therapy to children before puberty begins.

US Department of Health and Welfare in May Report released It frags as dangerous and inadequate research into gender transition treatments for minors. It is recommended that most medical interventions be replaced with “exploration therapy” to treat pediatric gender discomfort. The report states that the “gender-affirming” model of care “includes irreversible endocrine and surgical interventions for minors without physical pathology.”

“These interventions pose a risk of serious harms such as infertility/infertility, sexual dysfunction, bone density development disorders, adverse cognitive effects, cardiovascular and metabolic disorders, mental disorders, surgical complications, and regret,” according to HHS. “On the other hand, a systematic review of the evidence revealed deep uncertainty about the benefits of these interventions.”

The report states that in December 2024 the UK banned adolescent blockers for children with gender discomfort indefinitely. Meanwhile, amid pressure from the Trump administration, the center of Transyouth Health and Development Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, It is considered the largest public provider of “gender maintenance care” for American children and teens, and announced earlier this month it will be closed by July 22nd.
