On Sunday, the Tigers drafted three high school shortstops. Bryce Rayner High school right-handed pitcher selected in the first round (11th overall) Owen Hall High school left-hander taken in the second round (49th overall) Ethan Schiefelbein Competitive Balance Round B (72nd overall)

On Monday, the Tigers acquired the college right-hand pitcher. Josh Randall In the third round, right-handed college pitcher Michael Massey In the fourth round, a college shortstop Jack Penny In the fifth round, a college shortstop Woody Hayden In the sixth round, a college outfielder Jackson Strong In the seventh round, left-hander Ethan Sloane In the 8th round, a high school right-handed pitcher Zach Swanson Right-handed college pitcher selected in the 9th round RJ Sales Round 10.

Here’s our latest look at the Tigers starting in the 11th round.

Year: twenty one.

Vitals: He is 6 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 195 pounds.

Batting/Pitching: Left/Left.

drafting: Round 11 (326th overall).

Buzz: A tall left-handed pitcher, Ashman was a relief pitcher exclusively during his three-year collegiate career at the University of Utah, where in 2024 he threw 26⅓ innings in 24 games with a 3.08 ERA, three walks and 26 strikeouts. He is an elite strike pitcher, but his pitching mix is primarily one pitch. He throws two pitches, a slider/curve combination and a below-average changeup, but he mostly throws a 93 mph fastball. He should be a two-pitch relief pitcher when he goes pro. Ashman is almost guaranteed to throw strikes with his fastball, so if he can develop his slider and increase the velocity of his fastball, he could thrive in high-leverage situations in the major leagues.

Downers Grove North (Illinois) High School SS Jude Warwick

Year: 18.

Vitals: 6-1, 170.

Batting/Pitching: Left and right.

drafting: Round 12 (356th overall).

Buzz: Warwick, a Michigan State commit, appeared in 36 games and batted .389 with five home runs, 12 walks and 14 strikeouts in 143 at-bats during his senior season at Downers Grove North. He also pitched 12⅔ innings in seven relief appearances with a 1.66 ERA, two walks and 10 strikeouts, but sees himself as a position player in the future. Michigan State scouted him as an infielder, but the Tigers drafted him as a shortstop. The left-handed hitter is committed to Michigan State and will play there from October 2022.

Year: 19.

Vitals: 6-4, 190.

Batting/Pitching: oh yeah.

drafting: Round 13 (386th overall).

Buzz: A Southern Miss transfer commit, Ellisart appeared in 15 games for Chipola College as a sophomore in the National Junior College Athletic Association. He was named to the Panhandle Conference First Team with a 4.85 ERA, 26 walks and 78 strikeouts in 65 innings. Ellisart mixes four pitches: fastball, curveball, changeup and cutter. His fastball velocity is around 90 mph. He knows the trajectory of his pitch, but he needs to improve it to progress as a pro. 10.8 strikeouts per nine innings Ranked 47th out of 321 pitchers in the NJCAA rankings.

Year: twenty two.

Vitals: 5-10, 175.

Batting/Pitching: oh yeah.

drafting: Round 14 (416th overall).

Buzz: The actress’ brother, Howie Brianne Howeycompleted four seasons at Saint Mary’s University in the West Coast Conference, pitching a total of 107 innings out of the bullpen over his four years at the school. In 2024, he posted a 4.26 ERA with 15 walks and 51 strikeouts in 22 games and 38 innings, averaging 12.1 strikeouts per nine innings. Howie spent four seasons as a member of the Gaels, posting a 6.81 ERA.

Year: 20.

Vitals: 6-1, 195.

Batting/Pitching: oh yeah.

drafting: Round 15 (446th overall).

Buzz: McDonald attended Portage Central High School in Portage, Michigan, where he set the school’s home run record. He then played three years at Miami University of Ohio, where he continued to hit home runs. McDonald hit 10 home runs as a freshman, 13 as a sophomore, and 20 as a junior. His 20 home runs as a junior are tied for second-most in program history in a single season, behind McDonald’s 21 as a sophomore. Mike Ferris In 2004, he also came one home run shy of tying the team record. Michael Carlin McDonald hit 44 home runs from 2000 to 2003. As a junior, he batted .337 with 36 walks and 53 strikeouts in 54 games, stole 15 bases on 18 attempts, and hit two home runs in four games.

Blue Valley Southwest (Kansas) High School RHP Anson Seibert

Year: 18.

Vitals: 6-8, 235.

Batting/Pitching: Left and right.

drafting: Round 16 (476th overall).

Buzz: Seibert, who is committed to the University of Tennessee, is one of the best high school pitchers in the draft, but control issues have caused him to be rated outside the first-round range. If he signs, he will be the best bargain in the entire draft. However, Seibert is committed to the University of Tennessee starting in July 2022 and will spend the next two seasons with the Volunteers. Seibert throws a 93 mph fastball that can reach a top speed of 97 mph, further strengthened by above-average ride and good extension. He also has a high-spinning slider that should develop into a dominant second pitch. Adding a changeup and curveball completes his four-pitch combination, but his pitch content is below average. The soon-to-be 19-year-old left-handed fastball pitcher is committed to the University of Tennessee and will be eligible to enter the draft again as a college sophomore in 2026. By that time, he may be a first-round pick as a top draft candidate. Seibert has incredible potential, but he still has a long way to go before he becomes a finished product.

Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy (Puerto Rico) High School C Gabriel Rosado

Year: 18.

Vitals: 6-1, 180.

Batting/Pitching: Left and right.

drafting: Round 17 (506th overall).

Buzz: A native of Ponce, Puerto Rico, Rosado plans to attend San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Texas, of the NJCAA, but could skip college if he signs with the Tigers. As a catcher, he is considered above average in terms of accuracy and arm strength. He is the fourth-best player in his grade from Puerto Rico, according to Perfect Game. He is also ranked 385th overall among high school players in his grade and 42nd as a catcher.

Year: 19.

Vitals: 6-4, 215.

Batting/Pitching: oh yeah.

drafting: Round 18 (536th overall).

Buzz: Alewine graduated from East Caweta High School in Georgia and enrolled at Southern Union State University, an NJCAA program in Alabama, in 2024. He pitched 66⅔ innings across 14 starts, posting a 4.86 ERA with 22 walks and 48 strikeouts (6.48 strikeouts per nine innings). Ranked 270th out of 321 pitchers in the NJCAA rankingsHe was not selected in the 2023 MLB Draft.

Leon (Florida) High School LHP Chase Davis

Year: 17.

Vitals: 6-2, 210.

Batting/Pitching: Left/Left.

drafting: Round 19 (566th overall).

Buzz: Davis, who won’t turn 18 until late August, is set to attend the University of South Alabama in September 2022, so the Tigers would need to steer him away from the college route in order to sign him. He was a two-way player in high school, but is built to be a pitcher in the future. As a senior, Davis pitched 18 innings in six games (one start) with a 2.33 ERA, five walks and 25 strikeouts. He also pitched 42⅔ innings with a 3.77 ERA as a sophomore and 59⅔ innings as a junior. Offensively, Davis batted .225 with three home runs, 13 walks and 15 strikeouts in 22 games during his senior season, but the Tigers drafted him as a left-handed pitcher rather than a left-handed hitter.

Eastern Oklahoma State University RHP Dawson Price

Year: 19.

Vitals: 6-5, 215.

Batting/Pitching: oh yeah.

drafting: Round 20 (596th overall).
