“When Calls the Heart” star Mamie Lovelock expressed her “gratefulness” after receiving more than $39,000 in donations while recovering from depression. A five-storey balcony collapsed.
“Thank you so much. I don’t know what to say. I’m overwhelmed,” Lovelock, 20, wrote on the family’s GoFundMe page.
“Thank you again. Words can’t express how grateful I am. I love you all. Thank you Mommy.”
The actress’ mother, Nicole Lockman, and stepfather, Rob Compton, ended the fundraising campaign on July 18 after exceeding their $30,000 goal.
“Please know how much you all helped this family when we were in our most difficult situation,” the couple wrote in their closing message. “Thank you for caring.”
Lovelock was admitted to hospital in May for a “medical emergency” and transferred to St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, Canada, where he was pronounced dead. The body was ‘shattered’ in autumn.
The Hallmark actress has since been placed on life support and underwent “multiple major surgeries.” Her family provided an update on a fundraising page, saying Lavelock “Good job.” Despite her recovery,[ing] At the time it was “unclear.”
Lavelock eventually recovered, but his mother acknowledged that “he has a long road to recovery.”
