Apple today released the fourth beta of its next version. iOS18 Update and iPadOS 18 This is a developer test update, and the software is Third beta release.
Registered developers can opt in to the beta by opening the Settings app, navigating to the Software Update section, tapping the “Beta Updates” option, and turning on the iOS 18/iPadOS 18 Developer Beta setting. iOS 18 introduces Apple Intelligence, a suite of AI features built deeply into the operating system. Siri will have better natural language understanding, better context awareness, and the personal assistant will be able to integrate with ChatGPT to answer more complex queries.

Apple will let users rearrange apps on their home screens to free up space, and there will also be a dark mode for app icons and colour options.
The Control Center is customizable, allowing third-party developers to add controls for their apps, the flashlight and camera icons on the lock screen can be replaced or removed, and Messages gains support for rich communication services to improve conversations with Android users, the option to schedule texts to be sent later, new text effects, messaging via satellite when you don’t have a cell phone, and the option to use any emoji in Tapback responses.
It has dedicated password apps for logins, passkeys, Wi-Fi passwords and authenticator codes, and also adds the option to lock and hide the app so it can’t be opened without your secondary key. Face Recognition or Touch ID Authentication is possible even if your phone is unlocked.
Safari has a highlighting feature that summarizes articles and shows you important information on websites. photograph The app now has a revamped interface and a new Tap to Cash feature that lets you send money privately and securely using Apple Cash. Other features include equation solving and voice note transcription in Notes, Game Mode for improved gaming performance, and the option to respond to Siri on AirPods with head gestures.
iOS 18 is currently only available to registered developers, but Apple plans to release a public beta later this month. iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 are expected to be released to the public this fall.
