I know this isn’t our normal work, Prime Day In 2024, we can expect to see significant price cuts across the board on all tech products, from coffee machines to laptops, and air fryers to headphones.

So here are five of the best non-gaming tech deals I found whilst trawling through Prime Day sales and spreadsheets in the UK. Hope you find something!

Ninja Double Stack XL Air Fryer – £210 (It was 270 pounds.)

Okay, so this might seem like a bit of a strange start to the story, but let me explain. This Ninja Double Stack XL air fryer is the latest and greatest option from a big brand, and while it’s been pretty resistant to discounts in the past, it’s now been reduced by a massive £60.

I’ve been using Ninja air fryers for years and have always been impressed with their wide range of useful features, great cooking performance and sleek looks. The Double Stack XL delivers on that in spades, especially in the discounted Amazon-exclusive black and copper color scheme. It has a total capacity of 9.5 liters in two equally sized baskets, and with the included rack inside, you can cook up to four different types of food at once. It also offers other handy features like classic air frying, as well as roasting, baking, dehydrating and Ninja’s exclusive Max Crisp mode. With a maximum temperature of 240 degrees, Max Crisp mode helps you get super crispy results for chips and breaded items.

The big feature here is that this is Ninja’s first stacked air fryer, meaning the baskets are one above the other instead of side-by-side. This saves counter space, which is a godsend if you have a small kitchen like mine. The product achieves this by being only slightly taller than the brand’s AF400UK (their classic large dual-zone option), so it can fit under your kitchen cabinets.

Sony WH-1000XM4 – £180 (Previously £350)

If you want a great pair of noise-canceling wireless headphones for almost half the price, then this Sony WH-1000XM4 is a great deal for you. These headphones have been popular for the last few years as the best-in-class headphones with ANC functionality, so to get them at this low price is a great deal.

The XM4 features best-in-class noise cancelling, essentially silencing you so you can focus on what you’re listening to without being distracted by outside noises like people talking or train rumble. There are multiple levels to choose from in Sony’s companion app, and there’s also a transparency mode that can be quickly activated to carry on a conversation or stay aware of your surroundings. There’s also an optional Speak to Chat feature that automatically pauses playback and activates transparency mode when you start speaking.

Audio-wise, the XM4s have punchy bass and solid bass response, along with smooth mids and detailed highs. Plus, with 30 hours of battery life, a foldable chassis (not available on the new XM5 model), plush padding that makes the XM4s extremely comfortable, and a handy travel case, the result is a pair of wireless headphones that are perfect for travel and a variety of other uses.

Sage Nespresso Creatista Plus – £265 (It was 480 pounds.)

The Sage Nespress Creatista Plus is a super convenient pod coffee machine with a milk frother built in. Not many machines that use pods also offer this feature as an option, which is why the Creatista Plus is a great choice.

In addition to this, it comes with a handy display on top that guides you through brewing your coffee, and also lets you turn your favourite Nespresso espresso into a flat white, latte or whatever you prefer. The brushed stainless steel also looks great, and like all Sage machines, it feels pretty solidly built.

Apple M2 13.3-inch MacBook Air – £849 (Previously £999)

If you’re looking for a MacBook that’s sure to get some big discounts this Prime Day, Amazon is offering the 13.3-inch M2-powered MacBook Air for £849. That’s £150 off the usual list price of £999, making it a great deal on a laptop that’s perfect for creative workers.

This MacBook Air comes equipped with the incredibly powerful M2 chip with eight CPU cores and ten GPU cores, making it a strong option for video editing that’s faster than the fastest Intel-based Mac desktops and laptops. It’s a slight upgrade from the M1, but it’s still faster, and will be most beneficial if you’re moving from an Intel-based MacBook.

This M2 MacBook Air also comes with a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display that delivers accurate colors and a particularly vivid experience. And the base 256GB SSD inside has plenty of space to store your apps. The 8GB RAM inside may not be enough for other laptops, but it’s still plenty given the overall efficiency of the M2 chip and macOS. As for battery life, Apple says this MacBook Air can last up to 18 hours on a single charge, which is enough for a few days away from the charger.

Apple AirPods Pro 2 – £179 (Previously £229)

Finally, we have the Apple AirPods Pro 2 at a great price. These great noise-canceling earbuds have a sleek look, comfortable fit and great ANC, and they’ve just been discounted by £50 on Prime Day – previously £229, they’re now just £179.

The big feature of the second-generation model is the improved ANC. Apple claims that this time around, the AirPods Pro 2 have twice the active noise cancellation than the previous model. The cancellation is excellent, making the AirPods Pro 2 the perfect earbuds for on-the-go use.

Additionally, this second-generation model also sports a warmer sound profile with extended bass, better accuracy, and stable imaging. Much of the work here is done by Apple’s new H2 chipset, which includes a host of custom amplifiers and drivers in the name of delivering vastly improved audio over the original AirPods Pro models. These earbuds also support spatial audio, providing a more immersive experience with supported music as well as movies and TV shows.

Not only do the second-generation AirPods Pro feature a new H2 chipset for better sound quality, but they also offer longer battery life (up to six hours) compared to the first-generation model, and the case also supports Apple’s U1 chip, bringing convenient quality-of-life features like the Find My feature to your earbuds. The case itself, like the earbuds, is IPX4 waterproof and can withstand light splashes of water – handy when the rain starts to pour or you’re hitting the gym hard.

So that’s it for the great Prime Day deals I found in non-gaming tech today. Feel free to grab any of them, or check out the rest of our other Prime Day articles.
