Blizzard awards free World of Warcraft game time amid pre-patch woes

Launch of World of Warcraft: The War Within The pre-patch hasn’t gone as smoothly as Blizzard hoped. Despite the beta starting in early June, the release of the WoW The War Within pre-patch on Tuesday, July 23, encountered several issues, the main one being the lengthy downtime at the time of release that mainly affected players in the North American region. As a result, Blizzard is handing out free game time to make up for the trouble.

“We want to acknowledge that on the first day of the pre-expansion content update for The War Within, many players in North America experienced extended downtime,” the statement read. World of Warcraft In a post on the game’s official website, the creators wrote: MMORPGThere’s no workaround for playing when the servers are down, which can be especially frustrating if you had specifically set aside time to dive into the new update.

“In response to this, we will be adding one day of game time to all subscriptions in North America, Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand for accounts that were active as of July 23, 2024,” Blizzard said. “We plan to provide compensation to affected players by August 15, 2024.” If you’re not sure if your compensation has been completed, you can check your current game time on your Battle.net account page.

Cross-realm trading in World of Warcraft is disabled At the moment, Blizzard is investigating a bug that causes the game to lock up, along with a separate issue that causes players to lose currency when trading it between characters in the new Warband feature. WoW Warbank DisabledAs of today, Saturday, July 27, Blizzard has yet to say when these features will return, but has said that both are a high priority.

“We ask for your continued patience as we work through any remaining issues to ensure a smooth player experience leading up to the launch of The War Within expansion, from Early Access on August 22nd to worldwide launch on August 26th,” Blizzard said.
