A number of unreleased Gearbox games were discovered online over the weekend.
According to reports eurogamer, the developer who worked at support studio Lost Boys Interactive mentioned Borderlands 4, Tiny Tina’s Wonderland 2, and an unannounced Brothers in Arms game in a now-deleted LinkedIn post. It is stated that all games are built within his Unreal Engine 4.
Lost Boys Interactive is a division of Gearbox, which itself is part of the Embracer Group, which is also facing difficulties. Embracer is currently undergoing a severe restructuring that will involve mass layoffs, studio closures, and project cancellations. Embracer is thought to be looking to sell GearboxHowever, IGN sources say they are having trouble finding a buyer at the asking price.
Gearbox has yet to announce Borderlands 4, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands 2, or the new Brothers in Arms game. IGN has reached out to the studio for comment.
It’s worth noting that the current purge at Embracer may have derailed some or all of these projects. Last week, the Swedish company Confirmed So far this year, our internal headcount has decreased by 713 people (511 developers and 202 non-developers), and our external developer headcount has decreased by 191 people. A total of 15 largely unannounced projects have been “written up” across Amplifier, Freemode, Gearbox, Plion, Saber and THQ Nordic, Embracer said.
Borderlands 4 seems likely to survive the cull, but Tiny Tina’s Wonderland 2 and this new Brothers in Arms game could be cancelled.
Borderlands 3, released in 2019, received a 9/10 rating from. IGN’s review: “Borderlands 3 sticks to its guns and outdoes itself with amazing weapons, humor, and missions.”

The last mainline “Brothers in Arms” game was in 2008 Comrades: Highway to Hell. His fourth game in the WW2 shooter series. ‘Fast and Furious 4’ canceled, eventually replaced by ill-fated hero shooter ‘Battleborn’. In Fast & Furious 4, the character Montana (who also later appeared in Battleborn) was one of four Inglourious Bastard-esque heroes tasked with hunting down the Nazis. His character was huge and used a giant machine gun as a weapon.
Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 was announced at E3 2011. After mixed reactions to its different tones, Gearbox chose to: Remove “Brothers in Arms” branding Change it from the game to Battleborn. Gearbox’s Randy Pitchford has said this for years. A new Brothers in Arms game was in the worksbut that didn’t happen.
