The WNBA star revealed in an interview with CBS Sports on Friday that the couple has welcomed their first child, a boy.
Their new bundle of joy was born on July 8th, weighing 7 pounds, 8 ounces.
“He’s my husband. He’s an amazing man,” Britney, 33, told the outlet. “They say the minute you see them, everything you think is important goes out the window, and that’s exactly what happened.”

“I’m kind of sad to have to go, but at the same time, he’ll understand,” Griner said.
Britney also explained how becoming a parent has changed her life — or rather, her phone.
“Now my whole phone is him,” she said.
The couple revealed they were expecting in April. Instagram Posts Holding hands, they showed off matching tattoos and shared an ultrasound photo.
“Can’t believe it’s less than 3 months until we meet our favorite human 🤍 #BabyGrinerComingSoon #July2024,” she wrote in the caption at the time.
The news of the baby’s arrival comes just one month after she and her wife, Sherrell, celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary.
Cherelle They marked the occasion with a sweet message. She posted a photo carousel full of throwback images on Instagram for her wife.
“Happy 6th anniversary baby! You performed some old college songs so I decided to follow your lead and collect my archives!” she wrote.
“Looking back on these memories reminds me why I chose you so many times! You make me smile and you’re there for me through literally anything! Lol I love you so much 🤍.”
