Tatum wrote that Reynolds “fought for me and Gambit and I will probably be forever indebted to him because I don’t know how I could ever do anything to equal what this means to me. Love you buddy.”

“These photos are almost a decade old,” Tatum wrote. “I was sitting in the audience when Ryan Reynolds first revealed Deadpool 1 to the world. I think I ran backstage right after and found him, hugged him and was like wow, you did it! Perfect. I didn’t even know him then, but since then I can say that few people in this industry have supported me more than @VancityReynolds.”

Tatum expressed his gratitude. Deadpool and Wolverine Director Shawn Levy offered similar praise: “Seriously an all-around brilliant creator. Everything happens for a reason. I’m so grateful to have been a part of this film. It’s a masterpiece in my opinion, and just plain damn fun. I was literally screaming in the theater.”
In a second Instagram post, Tatum thanked Jackman, Levy and producer Kevin Feige.
“Those two beautiful, intelligent boys. This was such an amazing moment. Kevin Feige put on an amazing show with this scene. It’s a dream come true to share the screen with the one and only Hugh Wolverine Jackman. Thank you Sean. You’re a genius.”
