The final trailer for Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine has revealed two of the film’s big surprises. First, Lady Deadpool will be appearing alongside various variations of the foul-mouthed mercenary. While Lady Deadpool’s appearance has been teased in various teasers for Marvel’s flagship film, this final trailer is the first to reveal the full character, leaving fans to guess which actor (Blake Lively? Taylor Swift?) is under the mask.
The biggest reveal in the final “Deadpool & Wolverine” was, Dafne KeenKeene is best known for playing the baby mutant X-23 opposite Hugh Jackman in the 2017 film Logan. That film was supposed to be Jackman’s final appearance as his iconic X-Men character, but he agreed to reprise his role as Wolverine in the upcoming Deadpool movie. Jackman was adamant that he was playing a different Wolverine, not the one who died in Logan, so it was anyone’s guess whether Keene would actually show up in the new film.
Incidentally, Keane told reporters while promoting “The Acolyte” that he would not be appearing in “Deadpool & Wolverine.” On-Demand Entertainment She said on the red carpet for “The Acolyte” that she regretted never getting the chance to reunite with Jackman.
“Of course I’m sad. I love Hugh and creatively I love Ryan. [Reynolds] And I love Sean [Levy]”I’m really looking forward to seeing what they make. I think Sean is one of the best directors out there right now and, of course, Ryan is a legend. It would have been amazing to be involved, but I’ll just go see it as a fan and to see my old friend in it,” Keane said.
Just as the final trailer for “Deadpool & Wolverine” was released online, Entertainment Weekly The interview was published In an interview with Keen, she spoke about returning as X-23.
“The inspiration all comes from Andrew Garfield,” Keane said of Garfield’s constant false claims that he would be returning as Spider-Man before the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, misleading the press. “He’s a master of this stuff.”
When Keane got a call from her agent informing her that she’d been asked to return as X-23, she “immediately screamed,” adding, “I dropped my phone in the bath. I had to put it in rice. It was really difficult. I was kind of scared. I thought, ‘I guess I’ve forgotten how to play her. I don’t have her in me anymore.'”
The actress ended up rewatching “Logan” before filming her scenes for “Deadpool & Wolverine.”
“The moment they said, ‘Commence shooting,’ I truly felt like I was back in Logan. It was like eight years hadn’t even passed,” Keane added.
