deltaThe popular Nintendo emulator app available for Apple devices received a major update today, bringing proper support for iPadOS and a host of other usability improvements.
in Newer PostsDeveloper Riley Testad revealed that Delta’s update 1.6 introduces native iPad support, allowing you to play emulated GameBoy, NES, Sega Genesis, SNES, N64, and Nintendo DS games in full screen. Additionally, the update adds support for Stage Manager and Split View, giving iPad users access to new controller skins designed for Apple’s tablet and the ability to emulate multiple games simultaneously using numerous windows.
While the update is iPadOS-centric, it also introduced some new changes for iPhone users. Most notably, the option to seamlessly switch between iPhone, iPad, and/or Apple Silicon-powered Mac computers. More interestingly, some significant changes have been made to DS emulation, improving performance and game compatibility, and eliminating the need for users to find BIOS files to emulate Nintendo DS games. You can read the full patch notes below.
Delta’s 1.6 update also introduces a new app icon. The logo change was prompted by a lawyer from software giant Adobe, who Delta’s original logo was eerily similar to Adobe’s.
