Elon Musk Her transgender daughter is “dead,” she says.
The billionaire, currently the richest man in the world, made the comments during a lengthy interview with the right-wing firebrand. Jordan Peterson for The Daily Wire.
Musk’s 20-year-old daughter, one of six children he had with his first wife, Justine Wilson, legally changed her gender to female and name to Vivian Jenna Wilson in 2022, dropped Musk’s surname and said in court filings that she “no longer wishes to be related in any way” to Musk.
Peterson called psychiatrists who assist minors in undergoing sex transitions “despicable cowards” and likened them to “Nazis.”

Musk then said: “So-called gender reassignment care is certainly a terrible euphemism. It’s child mutilation and sterilization disguised as gender reassignment care.”
He added: “This is an evil act – it’s clearly targeting children well below the age of consent. Almost all children go through some kind of identity crisis – it’s just part of growing up – so it’s entirely possible for adults to manipulate children who are going through a natural identity crisis into believing they are the wrong gender and need to become a different gender.”
“There’s a reason that we have an age of consent, because, for example, you can’t get a tattoo or drink and drive before 18, but you can do it at any age, because if we allow kids to do things permanently at 10, 12, 14, they’re going to do things that they’ll deeply regret later,” Musk said.
“Why are you making this an issue?” Peterson asked.
Musk responded: “That’s what happened with one of my older sons. I was tricked into signing papers for one of my older sons, Xavier, before I even had any understanding of what was going on. COVID-19 was happening at the time, so there was a lot of chaos. They told me Xavier might commit suicide.”
He said: “It was never explained to me that the puberty suppressants were actually fertility drugs, so anyway I lost my son.”
Musk added: “There’s a reason they call it ‘Deadnaming,’ and the reason it’s called ‘Deadnaming,’ is because, um, your son is dead. I mean, my son, Xavier, is dead. Killed by the virus of the awakened mind.”
Musk concluded: “I have since committed to eradicating the virus of the awakened mind, and we are making progress.”
“Deadnaming” refers to the name a transgender person used before they transitioned.
