Scheduled for release in theaters on July 25, 2025 Matt Shakman (WandaVision) is directing the latest installment of the classic Marvel team that first appeared in the 1961 comics. Pedro Pascal (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Invisible Woman) Joseph Quinn (Human Torch) Ebon Moss Bachrach (case).
Following Disney’s acquisition of Fox, the team is now available to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Pascal is First cast photo new Fantastic Four Earlier this week, the film’s stars appeared together with the caption: “Our first mission.”
With John Malkovich Paul Walter Hauser Eric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer are writing the screenplay. WandaVisionPeter Cameron also wrote the screenplay.
Following an unreleased Roger Corman-produced film in the 1990s, the Fantastic Four appeared on screen in a 2005 film directed by Tim Story starring Chris Evans, Jessica Alba, Ioan Gruffudd and Michael Chiklis. The film was a commercial success and spawned a sequel in 2007, but was poorly received by critics, with an approval rating of 28 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
The team was subsequently reunited for a 2015 feature film directed by Josh Trank, starring Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell. The film was not as successful as the 2005 film, performing poorly at the box office and receiving only a 9 percent critic score on Rotten Tomatoes.
