A new day has come, and so has time for new Pixel leaks. By holding its annual launch event, Google may have been trying to prevent a full leak of the upcoming device. 2 months agoBut it’s apparently not working at all.
Continue yesterday’s Barrage Pixel LeakToday we have a ton of newly leaked promotional materials, leaked promotional videos, and leaked official cases. Let’s take a closer look.
of Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XLThe official cases for the Pixel 9 Pro have been leaked, with the former device coming with a silicone case in Charcoal, Porcelain, Hazel, Rose, and Aloe. The last one is odd, since the Pixel 9 Pro itself isn’t expected to come in Aloe.
Moving on to the XL model, the case for this model comes in the same colors as the Pixel 9 Pro, except for the Aloe color.
Next, a promotional video for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL was released and posted to YouTube, but was unfortunately removed for “violating YouTube’s Terms of Service.” The video highlights that the Pixel Pro will be available in two sizes for the first time. It also confirms Google’s ongoing software update efforts, with the company promising seven years of Pixel Feature Drops.
You can also easily see Pixel Screenshots, which lets you easily search for previously saved screenshots. Of course, Google is also bragging about the “pro-level” cameras on the two Pro models, which come with Super Res Zoom Video and a new AI Add Me feature that lets you take two group photos and merge them together with some AI magic.
This ensures that everyone is included in the resulting image and that the person who took the photo isn’t left out. Not surprisingly, in 2024, when AI will be a mainstream buzzword in the tech industry, Google’s Gemini is also getting a lot of screen time.
Finally, we have another leaked video, this time focusing on “vanilla.” Pixel 9As of the publication of this article, the video has not yet been removed by YouTube, but it would not be surprising if it eventually meets the same fate as other videos.
It replaces Add Me with Magic Editor, uses AI to “reimagine” your photos, and boasts that the phone has a “durable design” (no idea what that means.) Other than that, it’s going to be part of the same ad campaign, so it looks pretty similar, which is intended.
