Indie electropop musician’s mother Grimes I went to beg X this weekend. Elon MusktPlatform Owner Mr Grimes, a father of three grandchildren, asked that Ms Grimes stop keeping her children so that he and Mr Grimes’ children could visit their dying great-grandmother, who is in her 90s, in Canada.
Grimes, 36, whose real name is Claire Boucher, filed a custody lawsuit against Musk in California Superior Court in September. Grimes also suggested at the time in a now-deleted post that Musk was keeping one of his sons from her, her mother, Sandy Garossino, wrote on X on Saturday, saying reaching out to Musk on his platform was a last resort after all other options had been exhausted.
“Dear Elon @elonmusk It was great meeting you on Father’s Day. I hope you got the card I helped X make – he was so proud of it. The only way I can reach you is by writing here,” Garossino wrote. “As you know, my 93 year old mother is currently in end of life palliative care. She is desperate to see and hold Claire’s children one last time – especially her youngest, who she has yet to meet.”
Grimes and Musk dated on and off for years and shared three children together, including 4-year-old X Æ A-Xii (known as X). 2 year old Exa Darkside Drelaka Y, and two-year-old Techno Mechanicus, aka Tau.
“She is desperate to see and hold Claire’s children one last time,” Garossino continued of her mother, “especially her youngest child, whom she has yet to meet. She was so excited because her children were scheduled to come over this weekend to celebrate their birthdays – today – but those hopes have been dashed when the trip was canceled.”
“I am concerned knowing that the children cannot come because you are hiding them and the necessary passport documents from Claire,” the children’s grandmother claimed in the post. “After your trip to Washington DC last week, seeing you and X on TV yesterday at the Paris Olympics has only made me more concerned.”
According to X’s biography, Garossino, a columnist who previously worked as a litigation lawyer, asked Musk point-blank: “Where are the other kids and who are they with? They’re going to be with their mother. They were expected to be here in Canada.”
Garossino concluded by writing, “It is my grandmother’s wish that this agreement be honored, that the children be returned and that they be provided with the necessary paperwork to see their great-grandmother before she passes away. Please, Elon. This is so painful for their mother and I am worried for the children. Time is of the essence.”
Musk is known to have 12 children with three women, and welcomed a third child into the world earlier this year with Neuralink executive Sivon Gillis.
Grimes, Musk and Garossino have yet to respond. The Hollywood ReporterRequest for comments.
Grimes previously described her relationship with Musk as “very fluid,” but They announced their breakup on Twitter in March 2022.“E and I have broken up again… but he remains my best friend and the love of my life and my life and art will forever be dedicated to The Mission,” the “Oblivion” singer and producer wrote.
