Balm treatment It has been a scientific mystery for a long time.

However, advanced treatment options and hair removal clinics continue to emerge. And researchers are making advances in finding hair removal fixes.

According to a press release, UCLA scientists recently warned of the discovery of a “breakthrough” that contains a molecule named PP405, which contains a molecule with a “long-term but intact” hair follicle.

Treatments for hair loss in men can be found in sugar stored in the body, studies suggest

in 2023 clinical trial, The researchers found that applying PP405 as a topical drug to the scalp at bedtime showed “statistically significant” results.

They believe that this treatment produces “complete ‘terminal’ hair, not peach fur types.

According to the researchers, PP405 is currently taking part in a Phase 2 clinical trial in men and women with androgenic alopecia. (istock)

Dr. William Lowry, a collaborator at the UCLA Broad Stem Cell Research Center, told Fox News Digital that the study is promising, saying “Cure is a strong word.”

“There are only two FDA-approved treatments for androgenic alopecia (AGA, or patterned hair loss): minoxidil and finasteride,” he said in an interview.

“They are both limited effective and only improve hair Some patients Who will take them? ”

These five hair removal and hair removal treatments can help ensure a healthy scalp, experts say

Other treatment options include supplements, red light therapy, platelet-rich plasma injections and hair loss, Laurie said, but these “have not been undergoing conclusive clinical trials, are expensive, time-consuming, and may limit their efficacy.”

He added, “None of these are therapeutic. None of them will ever recover all the hair lost due to AGA.”

Laurie and his fellow researchers discovered that hair follicle stem cells have “a different metabolism from other cells within the follicle.”

He said, “We found that by promoting this metabolism, it promotes stem cell activation and grows new hair. We then developed a drug that could promote this effect in a variety of hair loss models that reflect the multifactorial drivers of androgenic alopecia in patients.”

Hair loss and prostate medications can also reduce the risk of heart disease, research finds

PP405 has become a major candidate for hair loss treatment as part of this new class of drugs.

“We are excited about the opportunity to bring new treatment options to hair removal patients. Powerful science “Trial clinical trials,” he said.

“In addition, the mechanisms of action we discovered differ from previous approaches, so it could potentially be used in combination with other treatments.”

Manhattan-based dermatologist Brendan Camp, Maryland, said in an interview with Fox News Digital that hair loss is a condition that can have a lot of impact and can have a negative impact on people. Psychosocial health. ”

Therefore, identifying potential new hair loss treatments is an “exciting step for patients and healthcare providers managing what could become difficult to treat.”

“New Botox”

Camp agreed that there is a “unmet need” for hair removal treatments and there is a growing interest in providing solutions and providing hair repair services more widely.

Medicines such as Minoxidil, Finasteride and Dutasteride “slow down the process and even grow hair,” and procedures such as PRP, low-level laser therapy and hair transplantation are also effective. (istock)
