The closing title of Marvel’s important, but somewhat light, panel was all about the next installment in the Avengers series. Captain America: Brave New World has an official villain
It’s been known for some time that Giancarlo Esposito will be appearing in the next Captain America movie, but this panel gave us our first look at what role he’ll be playing. SidewinderSidewinder is the leader of the Serpent Society, a criminal organization that doesn’t have the grandiose ambitions of some of Marvel’s other villains, so the film will likely be more subdued than other fantasy fare. As Feige said during the panel, it’s a spy movie, Captain America: The Winter Soldier More so than the various MCU films about heroes saving the universe.
Thunderbolt* debuts first footage
There wasn’t really much to announce. Thunderbolt* I still don’t know what the * in the title means, but there was a video that was only available to the participants in Hall H. The video looked pretty interesting. A few people other than the panel participants posted it on social media, and I was wondering what they thought of the video. James Gunn’s Suicide SquadThis would certainly set a welcome tone for the MCU.
Fantastic Four now has subtitles and footage
Fantastic Four It’s the furthest of the films to debut at the panel, but it’s also perhaps the most anticipated. Fantastic Family 4 Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss Bachrach all appeared on stage during the presentation, which concluded with our first look at Galactus, which hasn’t been released online yet but we’ll update you when it is.
