Android 15 Beta 4 It’s available today as the last scheduled update for Pixel devices, but there’s also a chance that .x patches will be released in the coming weeks.

- Fixed an issue that could cause an Android Virtual Device (AVD) that uses an Android 15 system image to fail to start when the AVD was launched in embedded mode.
- We fixed an issue that could result in app notification settings not being restored when restoring a device from a backup.
- We fixed an issue on Pixel Fold devices that prevented users from continuing Face Unlock enrollment if the device was folded or unfolded during the process.
- Fixed various other issues impacting system stability, connectivity, performance, usability, and camera.
Resolved Bluetooth Issues
- Fixed a bug that prevented the Digital Car Key app from performing low latency scans when running in the foreground.
- Fixed Android head tracking service to use a custom UUID instead of the standard HOGP service UUID.
- Use the head tracking codec feature to discover transport support for the LE Audio stack.
- Fixed Bluetooth pairing requests not being rejected outright when there is a mismatch between the transport proposed by the API and the transport observed by the Bluetooth stack, potentially improving pairing success rates.
Known issues:
Android Platform
- When an app window transitions into Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode, if you rotate the device before the PiP transition is complete, the PiP window disappears.
- When adding an account during device setup, an error page appears.
Android Studio and Tools
- Android 15 Preview API level (VanillaIceCream) is not visible in the Preview configuration window.
- When checking for updates in Android Studio, it might not offer the latest version of the Android SDK Build-Tools that includes the Android 15 preview SDK.
- When configuring a new project in Android Studio, the Android 15 preview SDK version is now included.[ターゲット SDK バージョン]and[最小 SDK バージョン]It does not appear in the drop-down menu.
- When an Android Virtual Device (AVD) that uses an Android 15 system image is launched in embedded mode, the AVD might fail to start.
- Due to an issue with the Android emulator, you might not be able to redeploy an app to an AVD after you close the AVD.
- An issue with the Android emulator causes the Accessibility shortcut on hearing devices to launch multiple Settings app windows.
- An issue with the Android emulator causes the notification window to flicker while typing a direct reply.
- Due to an issue with the Android emulator, your app’s authentication flow might fail with the message “Google Play services keeps stopping.”
- An issue with the Android emulator causes Simpleperf to crash when running CPU profiling.
- An issue with the Android emulator causes incorrect characters to be displayed for languages listed in the system language settings.
- Due to an issue with the Android emulator, the QR code scanner might display a “Something went wrong” message and fail to launch.
- Due to an issue in Android Studio, the “System image not found…” warning message temporarily disappears in Device Manager after an SDK platform is added or removed using the SDK Manager.
- An issue with the Android emulator might prevent the Google Discover feed from loading.

- While creating a file in the Google Docs app, you will see the message “Android System Intelligence keeps stopping.”
- You might be unable to start playing a video in the Google TV app and see the message “Play Movies & TV is temporarily unavailable.”
