A United Airlines flight bound for Boston was diverted mid-flight on Sunday due to a “biohazard” issue.
United Airlines Flight 2477 took off from Houston at 9:39 a.m. CST on Sunday bound for Boston but was forced to reroute after a passenger fell ill, the airline told DailyMail.com.
The Boeing 737-800 plane landed at Washington Dulles International Airport at 1:36 pm ET. Flight Aware.
“I think we need to get this plane on the ground as soon as possible, especially with this biohazard out there,” audio was shared of the pilot on board telling air traffic controllers. X.
“The flight attendant is vomiting and passengers around him are asking for masks etc.”
“I’ve spoken to the flight attendants and it looks like things are pretty bad at the back.”
None of the 155 passengers and six crew members required medical assistance upon arrival at Dulles.
“The aircraft is currently undergoing a deep cleaning and we are working to return guests to Boston soon,” United Airlines said in a statement.

When passengers told her to stop shouting, she said: “Go back to Russia, you old woman,” before launching a string of expletives, saying: “I’ll kill you, bitch.”
Audio from the plane could be heard the woman screaming, “You’re a disgrace, you son of a bitch, I want to spit on you right now.”
“Don’t do that. Don’t do that,” a male flight attendant warned her. “You’re insulting everyone on this plane.”
Everyone on board applauded when she was removed after the plane was diverted to Orlando and delayed three and a half hours.

The nasty incident was filmed by Reddit user gig_wizard, who says it happened on Friday, April 7, while on Flight 422, a five-hour flight from Houston to Seattle.
“Dog had a nasty accident in the aisle of first class,” a passenger wrote next to the photo.
Reddit users said the plane was diverted to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, where ground staff said they were made sick by the smell and spent more than two hours trying to wipe down the carpet with paper towels.
