The “Friends” star was apparently filming a scene in which her character, Alex Levy, is surrounded by protesters who throw petrol at her.
The quirky drama recently garnered a slew of Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Lead Actress for both Aniston and co-star Reese Witherspoon, 48.
The Morning Show is set behind the scenes of a fictional morning news show, following rival anchors Alex and Bradley (Witherspoon) as they frequently cover current events such as the pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
“Happy 16th birthday! So honored and proud of our show and all of our talented actors, directors and crew! #grateful,” she wrote, expressing her gratitude for the show’s 16 Emmy nominations.
Last week, Aniston slammed Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance over his past comments about running mate Kamala Harris. Vance’s comments from a 2021 interview went viral, in which he called the now-Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and several others “childfree people.”
According to Deadline, he said the United States is run by “a bunch of childless catwomen who are miserable about their lives and the choices they’ve made,” and “that’s why they want to make the whole country miserable.” His comments prompted a strong response from Aniston, who posted on Instagram: “All I can say is… Mr. Vance, I hope your daughter is lucky enough to have her own children one day.”
Trump nominated Vance as his running mate at the Republican National Convention. Last week, President Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race and nominated his vice president, Kamala Harris, as the Democratic nominee.
