One of the biggest rumors about their marital rift has to do with Jennifer’s celebrity status.
Previously, a source Said People magazine points out that “she loves to open up to her fans and the world,” while “he’s introspective and private,” which “can make their day-to-day life difficult.”
Ben himself said something similar in Jennifer Lopez’s 2024 documentary. The greatest love story that was never toldIn the film, he reflects on getting back together with the singer after their highly publicized breakup in 2004. “When we got back together, I said, ‘Look, one of the things I don’t want is a social media relationship,'” he said. “Then I realized that that’s not fair. If I was going to marry the captain of a ship, it’d be like saying, ‘Well, I don’t like the water.'”
Ben added that the pair are “two people with different approaches” but are “trying to learn to compromise.”
While some sources continue to claim that fame has become a problem for them, a new report says that’s not necessarily true.
“The idea that Ben thought Jennifer was too famous and was unaware of all the attention their marriage was getting is just not true,” a source said recently. Said People: “There are more serious issues.”
Jen and Ben have yet to address the reports, but a source previously told Said Entertainment Tonight reports that they have been “trying to remain as amicable as possible” during this time.
“They want what’s best for everyone involved: their children, their remaining family and their mutual friends.”
BuzzFeed has reached out to reps for both Jen and Ben for comment on the latest reports and will update you if we hear back.
