Korean Air is introducing a new business class product, which will debut in just a few days.
The Seoul-based airline announced details of the suites, which it has dubbed “Prestige Suites 2.0,” in a press release on Monday.
The new Korean product is configured in a 1-2-1 configuration, giving all passengers direct aisle access. The new product is a customized version of the Collins Aerospace Horizon product.

Perhaps the biggest news about this seat is that every seat will be equipped with a 52-inch-tall sliding privacy door, which will no doubt help give passengers a better sense of personal space.
Additionally, the privacy divider between the center seats can be lowered to convert the center seats into a “honeymoon” arrangement.
Other features include a Qi wireless charging pad, a 60-watt USB-C fast-charging outlet, and a 24-inch TV screen.
The next-generation Prestige Suites will debut on Korean Air’s Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner, the first of which is scheduled to enter service later this month. Korean Air has 20 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners on order, each with a Business Class cabin with 36 seats.
The new product will also be retrofitted to existing Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, but a timeline for the cabin overhaul project was not disclosed.

Korean Air currently plans to inaugurate a Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner equipped with its new Prestige Suites on a flight from Seoul to Tokyo on Tuesday.
Korean Air plans to deploy the new jet on its long-haul route from Seoul to Vancouver, as well as to destinations in the western United States and elsewhere in Europe in the coming months.
In addition to the new business class seats, Korean Air’s 787-10s will also be the first to feature Wi-Fi connectivity. No details about the airline’s internet packages have been released, but we’ll update this article if we hear back from airline representatives.
It remains to be seen how much travelers will like the new seats, as Korean Air’s existing flagship business class, the Apex Suite, already offers a first-class experience.
While the window seats in the Apex configuration offer plenty of personal space and privacy, frequent flyers sometimes complain that these seats are too cramped.
The good news is that the new Prestige Suite 2.0 will have 46 inches of pitch and 21 inches of width. The fully flat bed will be up to 79 inches, which will hopefully alleviate some of the concerns about the existing product.
Furthermore, it remains to be seen whether South Korea will adopt this new product as the new standard. Merger with Asiana AirlinesThe process is expected to be fully approved later this year.
