Police officers sealed off parts of Shepherd’s Bush, west London, after human remains were found in two suitcases near Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol, Friday 12 July 2024.

British police have discovered human bones in an apartment in west London that are believed to be linked to remains found in another city earlier this week, police said Friday.

Authorities are currently searching for a Colombian man they believe is connected to the incident.

An investigation has been ongoing since the two suitcases were discovered. Found Police said on Wednesday that the bodies of two men had been found on Clifton Suspension Bridge, about 100 miles (160 km) west of the capital, Bristol.

In a statement, the Metropolitan police said officers believe the newly discovered remains are “linked to human remains found in Bristol”.

It was also reported that a 36-year-old man who was arrested in London over the horrific discovery has been released without charge.

Police are now searching for another man they believe is connected to the incident – 24-year-old Colombian national Yostin Andres Mosquera – who they have named for the first time – and said their top priority is to find him.

The group released a photo of Mosquera wearing a black Adidas baseball cap, black jeans, a black jacket, black sneakers with white platform soles and a black backpack.

Police believe they also know the identities of the two male victims, but said “formal identification is yet to take place.” Police are trying to locate the victims and notify their next of kin.

“The two victims are believed to have been known to Mosquera and the Metropolitan Police are appealing for any information regarding his whereabouts,” the statement added.

“This investigation is progressing rapidly with detectives in London and Bristol actively pursuing multiple lines of inquiry,” Deputy Superintendent Andy Valentine said.

The investigation began after Avon and Somerset Police received a report of a man with a suitcase “acting suspiciously” on a bridge in Bristol late on Wednesday. The suitcase was later found in the area, police said on Thursday.

Metropolitan Police

The Metropolitan Police have released a photograph of a man they are searching for in connection with the Clifton Suspension Bridge incident.

Authorities later said “a man wanted in connection with the incident had travelled from London to Bristol earlier that day.” Police had not previously identified him, despite a major search involving a police helicopter and the coastguard.

Police arrested a 36-year-old man, whose name has not been released, early Friday morning, but said he was not the same person police were originally searching for.

Bristol’s acting constable Vic Hayward-Mellen, from Avon and Somerset Police, told BBC’s Today programme on Friday that officers and first responders at the scene were being supported following the “truly horrific discovery”.

Police said they were “not aware of any risk to the public at this time,” adding that they were conducting visible patrols in the area.

It is the second brutal incident to shock Britain this week, following the murder of a man’s wife and two daughters on Tuesday. BBC Sports Commentator.

Carol Hunt The victims of the attack were the 61-year-old wife of horse racing commentator John Hunt, and her daughters Hannah Hunt, 28, and Louise Hunt, 25.

Kyle Clifford, 26, was found after a major police search in Enfield, north London, on Wednesday. He was arrested on Thursday. In connection with murder.
