“I’m pretty excited,” said Hall, who also serves as an EP on the new series, after receiving a standing ovation at Ballroom 20. “I’m having flashbacks to the first time I came to Comic-Con. We were in this hall. That was… 75 years ago? It’s amazing I’m still around. I can’t wait to see this show. On some level, I know what’s going to happen. I’ve spent so much time with these characters, so to come back and fill the void in my imagination with this Technicolor show… it’s amazing.”
The time for an adult Dexter is also fast approaching, as it was later revealed that production would begin in January. Dexter: Resurrection Hall will reprise his role, and while no additional information was provided at the panel, it should be noted that Dexter died at the end of the season. New blood.

Now his only confidant, Harry teaches Dexter the code to track down and kill those who deserve to die – all while avoiding capture by the police. This presents an especially difficult challenge for the young Dexter as he begins his forensic internship with the Miami Police Department.

“It’s a wide-open avenue,” Reynolds added of the prequel. “It’s wonderful to be able to tell the story of a kid who thinks he’s worthless and a father who says he’s not.”
