As The Mirage Hotel and Casino As the casino prepares to close on July 17, it is wrapping up a week-long $1.6 million giveaway.
Nevada’s gambling policy gave casino players the opportunity to cash out of a $1.6 million forced payout from the casinos.
Gamers areProgressive Finale Cash GiveawayThe event, which began on July 9, promised to give away more than $1.6 million in prizes. Attendees had the chance to win $1.2 million on slot machines and $400,000 on table games, the casino said.

Slot machine prize of $1.2 million
Players who want to try their hand at slots can play the games using a free Hard Rock Unity card, which is inserted into each drawing to enter the lottery. Drawings took place hourly in the afternoon earlier this month and again on Tuesday. The casino said the remaining $100,000 in prize money will be paid out on Tuesday.
Why is the Mirage closing?
The Mirage Hotel and Casino announced it would close in May after more than 30 years in business.
The hotel’s announcement was posted on its Facebook page on May 15. However, the hotel’s post made it clear that this isn’t the end of entertainment at the property.
The company announced that the resort will reopen as Hard Rock Las Vegas in 2027.
“We look forward to beginning our exciting journey into a new era as Hard Rock Las Vegas revitalizes the Strip with entertainment, innovation and world-class hospitality,” the post read.
