With an eerie “Twilight Zone” vibe and surreal space elements, Stage 2 Studios and Serenity Forge’s sci-fi video game “Lifeless Moon” is here, and we’re sharing a bizarre launch trailer that highlights its immersive, old-fashioned storyline.
This appears to be a trippy 3D action-adventure release designed with platforming stages that combine logic and puzzle-solving skills. Apollo era During a dreamlike expedition to the moon, astronauts come across a desert town that seems strangely familiar.
“Lifeless Moon” and its blurred reality released on July 9, 2024 for Xbox One/X/S, PlayStation 4 and 5, Epic Games Store, and Steam.

Lifeless Moon is something of a spiritual successor to Serenity Forge’s 2014 film Lifeless Planet, with its Lost-esque story structure influenced by classic sci-fi literature and films in which lunar explorers face mysterious anomalies in space-time, as well as a callback to TV series like The Outer Limits, in which astronauts and test pilots face disorienting situations, psychological experiments, and dangerous discoveries during the course of routine missions.
