However, a new report this week claims that the Pixel Watch 3 will come with a new type of band, and the 45mm size won’t be available for all bands.
New reports Android Headlines The band lineup for the Pixel Watch 3 has been revealed, with the return of some popular bands and some new products. The bands that will be sold with the Pixel Watch 3 will likely consist of the Active Band, Active Sport Band, Woven Band, Stretch Band, Metal Mesh Band, Metal Link Band, Metal Slim Band, Two-Tone Leather Band, and Crafted Leather Band. All of these are currently featured on the Pixel Watch 2, but there are some new variations as well.
The Active Band will be available in Rose Quartz, the Active Sport Band will have a new Winter Green color option, the Woven Band will add Peony to the collection, and the Stretch Band will add Winter Green and Rose Quartz.
The new addition to the lineup is the Pixel Watch 3’s “Performance Loop” band, which will be available in “Obsidian,” “Porcelain,” “Peony,” and “Winter Green” color options. There are no descriptions or images of the “Performance Loop,” but the name suggests that it will be “Solo Loop” released in 2020 This is a non-buckle elastic band for Apple Watch.
However, it looks like this new “Performance Loop” won’t be released until October.
But the most important detail from this leak is that the Pixel Watch 3 won’t support all bands in its 45mm size. Previously, it was stated that the band connection had “changed” While there’s no mention of a larger size, the report does specifically confirm that the band should directly support the new size of the Pixel Watch 3 at 45mm. This is very likely by design on Google’s part, but it’s certainly disappointing for anyone who’s built a large collection of bands.
This also appears to immediately affect the bands available in the larger sizes: the “Rose Quartz” Active Band and the two-tone Woven Band are exclusive to the 41mm size. Additionally, the Stretch Band, Metal Mesh Band, Metal Slim Band, and Two-Tone Leather Band won’t be available at all for the 45mm Pixel Watch 3.
Google’s larger Pixel Watch 3 is expected to feature a larger 1.45-inch display and a larger battery for longer runtime. report This new size will be branded “Pixel Watch 3 (45mm)” rather than “Pixel Watch 3 XL” as some had thought.
