ABC on Monday night without corkscrew Promised Land, A new Latin family drama set in the wine industry. Did the whisk meet your “grape” expectations?
Promised Land It started with the story of Juana (played by Kacha Martin) and Rosa. The ultimate goal was for two young women to cross the border from Mexico and arrive in Merced, California for an alfalfa hunting job. When attacked by a border guard truck, the gals managed to hide with the help of a young man, Carlos (Andres Verres), whom he met along the way. After that, the three left for Bakersfield. There, Juana talks to someone who could drive Carlos to Sonoma County, where he leads the vineyard work. Alas, his buddy secretly made Carlos jump while someone was malicious to the girl and the girl was unknowingly led to her kidnapping. Carlos managed to stab his attacker, after which the girl timed themselves with a bottle. Rosa was shot by the latter Goon before climbing the bad guys’ pickup with Juana, and Carlos drove them away. Carlos and tearful Juana dropped Rosa into the California emergency room for proper care before continuing their journey.
other Promised Land The action took place at the Sonoma County Estate and Winery Heritage House, where young Carlos and Juana headed. Joe Sandval (John Ortiz) dominates a very successful vineyard and business, while his daughter / GM Veronica (Christina Ochoa) is fishing to grab the bridle. At the back patio lunch, Joe is celebrating his 20th wedding anniversary with his second wife, Letty (Cecilias Arez), and their mixed family includes Joe’s three children by another mother. They are actually young Joe and Letty, who met the former contact Gillermo / “Billy” (Roland Chusan) at the Heritage House vineyards and gained a forged document / new identity. ..
