Everyone,
Soon there will be a meeting explaining the latest organizational changes underway in the studio to enhance our work. Thank you for your consideration, but please see the following just in case.
In November, we started the process of converting temporary employees to FTE status. Now we are excited to share that our QA colleagues can be directly integrated into different teams across the studio, including animation, art, design, audio, production and engineering.
Call of Duty: In anticipation of the continued expansion of Warzone, it will be more important than ever to facilitate closer integration and coordination throughout the studio. Embedding makes this possible. First, the move to incorporate the QA team has been carefully considered and is the next logical step in the planning process, which began a few months ago. Second, the best practice “embedded model” used by other prominent development studios throughout Activision puts the team in a better position to provide best-in-class coordination for fast-moving live service operations. I’m sure to put it.
We look forward to running the studio more creatively, effectively and efficiently than ever before. We are also pleased that this change will give QA team members more opportunities to improve their skills and advance their career in the studio.
Your manager will set up individual meetings with teams as needed to answer the questions you have. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact John.
Thank you.Brian
“Built-in QA,“ Testers have been integrated into the rest of the studio’s employees (as Raven does here), not new, and are becoming more and more common in major video game studios. For example, in BioWare I’ve been doing it for years..
However, the timing here is certainly interesting. As these long-term planned changes have been made over the months, they worked with QA staff almost exactly the moment they returned to work from the strike, quickly disbanding union members, and the entire studio. Scatter in. ..
I am convinced that it is an honest organizational change and has nothing to do with Raven’s new union. Activision executives are more afraid than death itself..
