Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Human Services (HHS) Robert F. Kennedy Jr. On Monday, he said he plans to stop the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from recommending additional fluoride in water, while also putting together a task force to take on the issue.

The Associated Press reported that Kennedy spoke about his plans about the publication after attending a press conference with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) administrator Lee Zeldin.

The EPA announced Monday it is reviewing new science regarding the potential health risks of fluoride in drinking water, as it has the authority to set the maximum levels of fluoride in public water systems.

Kennedy does not have the authority to instruct the community to stop adding fluoride to the water system, but he can instruct the CDC to stop recommendations and also works with the EPA to set acceptable levels.

Kennedy oversees the CDC, but that’s exactly what the agency’s recommendations are, and not essential.

Last month, Utah became the first state to ban the addition of fluoride to common drinking water.

Still, Republican Gov. Spencer Cox has signed a law that determines whether cities and communities will add fluoride (a mineral that prevents cavities) to water systems managed by those cities and communities.

By May 7, all water systems throughout the state will be needed to close the fluorinated system.

Kennedy told the Associated Press that he is proud of Utah as the first state to ban fluoride, adding that he hopes other states follow suit.

“Water fluorination in the community benefits all members of the community by preventing cavities, reducing oral health disparities, and saving money for everyone,” the CDC website states.

Kennedy and supporters of his initiative will make America healthy again (Maha) have been frank about banning fluoride in drinking water.

“Fluoride is an industrial waste related to arthritis and bone fractures. Bone cancerloss of IQ, neurodevelopmental disorders, thyroid diseases,” Kennedy wrote in X in November.

A study published on July 20, 2012 from the Environmental Health perspective, stated that “spots strong signs that fluoride can have a negative impact on children’s cognitive development,” conducted by researchers at Harvard University School of Public Health.

The CDC does not mandate the fluorination of community water, but it was named drinking water fluorination, one of the 10 major public health interventions of the 20th century, citing the dramatic decline of the cavity.
