As the official launch date for AMD Ryzen 9000 “Zen 5” processors draws closer, some of these chips have already surfaced. Available at a variety of retailers Almost every day, as was the norm in the past generations, they provide important information about the official pricing of upcoming processors in different regions. Of course, these prices should be taken with a pinch of salt as they may not be the exact MSRPs decided by the company.
French retail website PC21.fr Recently, three SKUs based on the Zen 5 architecture were listed. These are the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X, Ryzen 7 9700X, and the Ryzen 9 9900X. The 9600X costs 350.60 euros, 9700X 454.13 eurosand 9900X 567.42 eurosAll chips listed are currently in stock and we have a few of each left in stock.
Converting the prices to USD, we get $381.72 for the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X CPU, $494.43 for the Ryzen 7 9700X, and $617.78 for the Ryzen 9 9900X. These prices are significantly higher than what we’ve seen in previous leaks. However, these prices also include taxes of around 20% and possibly more. So, taking into account the base 20% VAT, the actual prices in USD should be as follows: The 9600X costs $300and its surroundings The 9700X costs $400and somewhere 9900X: $490-$500.
Comparing the latest listings 9600X for $295.43 at DealTargetThe processors are roughly the same price. A recent leak suggests that the Ryzen 9600X will be priced at $229.It’s unlikely that AMD will offer a $70 price cut when it launches the Ryzen 7600X at $299, and with both retailers selling the 9600X for almost $300, prices will more likely stay in the $279 to $299 range.
As for the AMD Ryzen 7 9700X, this is probably the first time we’ll see it on store shelves ahead of its release. The processors are already in the hands of a small number of users.(Probably for review), no word on pricing has been announced so far, with the 9700X likely to follow the same pricing trend as its predecessor, the Ryzen 7 7700X, and likely launch at $399.
Finally, this is the second time we’ve seen the AMD Ryzen 9 9900X in retail stores, as this CPU is already in stock. 508.49 euros on Amazon.nlThis is significantly cheaper than PC21.fr, and considering that the Amazon.nl listing also includes VAT, it’s hard to be sure whether the Ryzen 9900X will be priced below $499.
The official launch date for the AMD Ryzen 9000 lineup is July 31, 2024, and we can expect to see more listings of the same before the embargo until then.
