Selena Gomez has denied speculation that she has had cosmetic surgery.
The Only Murders in the Building star, 32, said: TikTok Videos Over the weekend, we discussed her recent appearance.
In the now-deleted video, content creator Marissa Barrionuevo was asked to explain what kind of work Gomez has done over the years.
Barrionuevo, an orthopedic physician assistant, declined to analyze Gomez’s appearance because the former Disney Channel star has lupus.
In the video, which was first shared in 2023, Barrionuevo told her followers that a diagnosis often changes a person’s appearance and should not be mistaken for cosmetic surgery.
Still, Gomez expressed her displeasure with the topic in the comments section.
“Honestly, I hate this,” the “Love On” singer wrote. “It was inflamed and striped. I had Botox. That’s it. Leave it alone.”
Meanwhile, Barrionuevo pinned Gomez’s comments to the beginning of a new video, in which she apologized to the singer for the content of her previous video.
“I love you,” she said, “and I truly do, and I apologize if this offended you in any way.”
She further captioned the video, “I always strive to lead with grace and compassion, but I am sorry this was upsetting to all of you (and understand why it was). I decided to stop making videos like this last year because they can have a negative impact. It was never my intention.”
Gomez appeared to be quick to forgive, writing, “I love you. It’s not about you. I just feel sad sometimes.”
