Eligible U.S. citizens receive Social Security and other benefits every month, so if you’re eligible, you could receive your money within days. SSI, SSDI, and Social Security Benefits. But only a certain group of Americans will be able to receive their 2024 Social Security benefits the third week of July. To find out if you’ll receive money, you’ll need to be eligible and a member of that specific group.
For half of all beneficiaries, the Social Security Administration’s July payment schedule has already been determined. In any case, two of the four categories of U.S. retirees who receive new benefits from the SSA each month have already received their benefits. Following the July 3 and July 10 Social Security and SSI payments, there will be many more payment dates over the summer.

Another condition that must be met is that the birthday falls between the 11th and 20th of the month. Meanwhile, the 24th of this month is the end date for the payment of benefits for July. For the benefit to be applicable on this date, the beneficiary’s birthday must fall between the 21st and 31st of the month.
You will receive your new SSI check from the SSA within a few weeks.
After the Social Security Administration sent out your July 24 payment, no more payments will be sent out this month, meaning you won’t get a new Supplemental Security Income (SSI) check until August. You may get two of these extra checks in August. The first payment was sent out at the beginning of the month, and the second check is due to arrive on August 30.
The Social Security Administration will mail checks during these two days, though not all Americans will receive their payments on the same day they are mailed. If you want to receive your check right away, you’ll need to enable direct deposit; if you don’t, the money won’t show up in your bank account until a few days later. Either way, the money will arrive sooner or later.
SSDI July 2024 payment schedule
- On July 17, 2024, the SSA will make payments again, meaning money will be deposited in your bank account if your birthday is between 11 and 20 years old, you are not on SSI, did not receive benefits before May 1997, and are not on any other program.
- If you were born on or after July 20, 2024, your next SSDI payment will be received on that date. August SSDI payments will be made on the 2nd, 14th, 21st, and 28th, and September 3rd, 11th, 18th, and 25th.
- However, the average payments are more regular and reasonable: As of May 2024, an SSDI check or direct deposit will typically pay $1,537.
SSA July 2024 Payment Requirements
