Rose had a difficult putt for birdie and the lead, but missed it and tapped in to fall to -2 for the day.
Thomas birdied the 17th hole to move into a tie for the lead at -2. His tee shot on the 18th hole landed cleanly on the right side of the fairway.
And since Kirk is the latest player to narrowly miss a birdie putt, he will likely remain at -2 as well.
Rahm missed a birdie shot on the 11th hole and will likely finish with par.
McIlroy made par on the ninth to stay at +2.

McIlroy was lying deep in the rough but his second shot was better, landing just outside the green on the par-5 ninth hole.
Rahm will be looking to get back into contention for the win after surviving the par-four 11th hole, but he won’t be able to make a birdie here.

Hojgaard made the par putt and finished with a score of 69, 2 under par and tied with clubhouse leader Alex Noren.
Justin Rose was also currently on the 18th hole, and although his approach shot from 151 yards went over the pin, he still had a chance for birdie.
Thomas teed off on the 17th hole and hit the ball between the pin and a greenside bunker for a slim chance at birdie.
McNeely was tied for the lead at -2. Herman, who was 1-over at the start of the back nine, hit his third shot on the ninth hole to within a few yards of the pin.
McIlroy had a double bogey on the 8th hole, which put him at +2. His tee shot on the 9th hole also sliced into the rough.

On the 17th hole, Rose was very close to a hole-in-one when his tee shot went just wide of the hole, but his birdie putt landed just short.
Adam Scott was trying to get back into the lead on the final hole of the day and landed his second shot on the green with a good chance for a birdie. Scott pulled the ball wide but should have made par.
Heuergart was looking to take the lead for good going into the final hole and had a chance for birdie on his second shot on this hole. He pulled the ball wide but would hole it in with the lead.
Going back to McIlroy in the bunker on the 8th hole, he chips out, but the ball comes back into the bunker, and he’s stumped. But he manages to get out of the bunker with his third shot. And then he fails to make a bogey…
On the 10th hole, Rahm narrowly missed one of his best shots of the day when his chip missed, but he still made par.

McIlroy took a nine-yard putt for birdie on the seventh hole, but the ball went wide.
Harman carefully chipped his way out of a greenside bunker on the eighth hole, but par would be tough to come by there, and moments later, on the same hole, McIlroy’s tee shot rolled wide and into the same bunker.
Hoygard made par on the 17th hole to stay in the lead.

Kim made a par on the third hole to stay in the lead at -2, while Adam Scott and Russell Henley dropped to -1.
DeChambeau now 6 over After just eight holes, he bogeyed the eighth hole at Postage Stamp.
Thomas chipped his third shot onto the green at the 15th hole but missed out on birdie, but he did get par.
Rose hit his third shot on the par-5 16th hole to put himself within birdie range and take sole possession of the lead.

Thomas teed off on the 15th hole looking to get back into the lead pack, but his shot landed in the rough.
Hoygard teed off on the par-3 17th hole, but his shot went over the pin. On the 16th hole, Rose hit his tee shot on the fairway and narrowly missed a bunker with his second shot, giving him a chance for birdie.
McIlroy’s approach shot on the seventh hole was slightly overhit, but he was still able to aim for par.
Herman missed a birdie on the seventh hole after missing a difficult left-to-right putt.

Rose was still at -2 when he teed off on the par-5 16th hole, but Hoygard got a birdie on the same hole to move to -2.
Finau missed his birdie putt on the ninth hole, but tapped in for par and remained at -1.
Rahm was hitting his second shot on the ninth hole into the wind and it landed just off the green from 202 yards out.
McIlroy is still at par after the seventh hole.

Rahm sank his putt on the eighth hole for his first birdie of the day to move to even par, and Kim also birdied his second hole of the day to move to -2.
Justin Thomas started the day by hitting his tee shot just over the green on the 14th hole, while Rose landed his chip shot on the green on the 15th hole for par.
A good approach shot from Finau would have given him a good chance for birdie, but McIlroy misjudged the birdie putt, missed the red and made par again.
DeChambeau started off on the par-3 eighth hole with a shot that overran the green and landed in the rough.

McIlroy’s tee shot on the sixth hole was as good as his home tee shot, both landing within a few feet of each other on the right side of the fairway.
Thomas’ tee shot on the 13th hole landed in the rough, but he hit the fairway with his second and chipped on with his third, missing par but making a bogey if he’d tapped in.
Finau birdied the eighth hole and is now one stroke behind the leaders.
Herman managed to get on the green with his third shot on the sixth hole, but his birdie attempt went over the pin.
