The Trump administration is moving away from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations for vaccinating children and pregnant women against Covid-19. According to the new report.
Ministry of Health and Human Services (HHS) led by Chief Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.which plans to elicit federal recommendations that these groups will obtain the covid vaccine as a daily measure, Wall Street Journal Reported on Thursday.
Currently, the CDC recommends that everyone over six months be vaccinated, but that guidance could be discarded in the coming days.

It is unclear whether HHS will remove the recommendations entirely or simply stop pushing them for everyone, the report says.
The move is a major shift in federal health policies and marks a breakaway from the blanket vaccine approach that dominated the early days of the pandemic.
Few parents or pregnant mothers follow in recent Covid boosters. As of April, CDC data shows that only 13% of children and 14% of pregnant women received the latest shots.
The change comes as the FDA prepares to roll out a more stringent vaccine approval process under Dr. Marty McCurry.

Speaking at a gathering of food and drug lawyers on Thursday, McCurry said, “I want to see vaccines available to high-risk individuals, but I also want good science. I want good clinical data.”
Kennedy has long been critical of the mRNA vaccine and mass vaccination campaign. As HHS’s secretary, he currently has the authority to modify the CDC guidance.

Critics of the Move told the Journal Can discourage vaccinations And it leaves immunocompromised people more vulnerable. Advocates say it brings back policies in line with science and common sense.
Neither HHS nor CDC responded immediately to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
