Ariana Madix Madix’s legal troubles increased this week as her ex-boyfriend sued her on Thursday over a sandwich shop partnership dispute. Tom Sandoval sued her over another woman’s NSFW video What she found on his phone.
In the latest lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, plaintiff Penny Davidi Borsuk alleges that Maddix and her Vanderpump Rules Her co-star, Katie Maloney, defaulted on an oral agreement that guaranteed her a 10 percent co-ownership of Something About Her, a women-focused sandwich shop that opened in West Hollywood last May. Borsuk claims that under an allegedly forged June 2023 contract, Maddix and Maloney promised her the title of “COO/head chef” and payments of $7,500 per month until Jan. 1, 2024, and $10,000 per month thereafter. Borsuk claims that Maddix and Maloney “denied” the existence of the contract after profiting from her “significant work” on the restaurant project.
The law firm representing Maddix in his legal battle with Sandoval did not immediately respond to a request for comment Thursday about the sandwich shop’s complaint, and attempts to reach Maloney’s representatives were not immediately successful.
Sandoval sued his ex-girlfriend Maddix for invasion of privacy late Tuesday night. He filed a counterclaim in a bitter legal battle that began last February when Maddix sued his ex-girlfriend for invasion of privacy. Vanderpump Rules Cast Member Raquel Revis first sued both Sandoval and Madix. In her lawsuit, Revis alleged that Sandoval secretly recorded “intimate” videos of her during a secret relationship that began while she was living with Maddix. Revis alleged that Maddix committed “revenge porn” when she discovered the videos on Sandoval’s phone, copied them and shared them with others. Maddix denies the allegations.
After Sandoval sued Maddix, lawyers for both Maddix and Reavis fought back. Tom Sandoval Maddix’s lawyer, Jordan Sussman, said in a statement that the allegations continue to torment Maddix. Rolling Stone“I was involved in an extramarital affair,” Sandoval said. [Madix’s] Sandoval accused Maddix of threatening her “home and stability” and subjecting her to “months of emotional combat.” Sussman slammed Sandoval for “further attempting to evade personal responsibility for the impact his actions have had on Maddix and her mental health.”
“Mr. Sandoval is well aware of the privileges he and Ms. Maddix shared regarding personal communications devices, and if he or his mistress had their way, it would be illegal for anyone to know their spouse or lover was cheating on them,” Sussman said. “That Mr. Sandoval went from asking Ms. Maddix for forgiveness to blaming her for his own infidelity speaks for itself. The New York Times Despite labeling Sandoval “the most hated man in America,” he clearly has learned nothing and believes he needs to continue to torment Maddix in order to salvage his image. Maddix is confident that a jury will see through this latest ploy and reject his baseless claims.
Reavis’ lawyer, Brian Friedman, said Sandoval was responsible for the uproar. “Tom Sandoval should never have recorded Rachel without her consent in the first place. He grossly violated her privacy,” Friedman said. “It is completely insensitive for Tom to try to avoid responsibility for his own wrongdoing when a court has determined that Ariana’s actions were unlawful.”
